CPU also known as the Central Processing Unit is the major and most crucial component of every computer which controls and organizes all the activities that are instructed by all the software and can be referred as the mind of the computer. This is mobilized in the regulation of input and output procedures, algorithmic computations, logical activities, and many others.

To simplify, the CPU's responsibilities can be viewed from three main perspectives: It has the capability of storing and reading the instructions that is the CPU has the responsibility of fetching instructions from the instruction register and then performing various operations as per the addresses that are to be used. It is situated on the main circuit board of the computer also known as the motherboard.
