CASE

Idealogic’s Glossary

CASE (Computer-Aided Software Engineering) − the application of the tools that help in the elaboration of the software life cycle. These tools review and improve on the quality and production of the developing system with the help of built-in programs.

The main objective of CASE is to provide a disciplined and structured approach to the management of project requirements and to achieve the best quality in implementation. There has, however, been a progressive decrease in the use of CASE tools that were earlier used to minimize the use of manual effort.
