Calibration

Idealogic’s Glossary

Calibration is the process of measuring a system’s output in relation to another instrument that has an accurate measure with the aim of having an impartial and precise approach to the outcome. This process makes sure that a device functions as required and is in proper relation to a particular reference that is unvarying.

Calibration is often applied in software and hardware engineering for the provision of standard and quality performance. It becomes even more important in manufacturing firms where the measuring of tools is crucial in the right manner.
