Bandwidth

Idealogic’s Glossary

Bandwidth — the ability of a communication link in the internet to move a given amount of information at a given moment in time; it is commonly expressed in bits/second, Kb/s or Mb/s. One of the factors that are significant necessary for swift data transfers and the lack of a buffer circle is proper bandwidth.

Although many people use it interchangeably with internet speed, bandwidth strictly means the amount of data that one can transfer at a particular time. Measures to increase bandwidth can be selecting a better Internet service provider plan, changing the router, or plugging in directly with an Ethernet cord.
