Aliasing is the process of smoothing out the jagged edges of an image or typeface by adding extra pixels. The color of a pixel is determined by taking the average of its own color and the background color.

This process involves gradually filling in diagonal lines when there aren't enough pixels in the image or on the screen to render them realistically.

Aliasing happens when an oscilloscope does not sample the signal quickly enough to accurately represent the waveform. This results in a misidentification of the signal frequency, causing the waves displayed on the oscilloscope to become
